Fashion and food have equal space in my heart, if fashion is food for my eyes then I fill my stomach with yummy food.
In my recent trip to Hong Kong, squeezing shopping and food hunting is a bit difficult if you happen to be a tour guide for first timers. HK top blogger - The Wanderlister+ Asia was a big help in finding the best restaurants in Hong Kong.
As included in The Wanderlister+ Cool List as the coolest restaurant of 2011, Linguini Fini is my top choice.

Linguini Fini offers Italian cuisine but with a twist of local flavors. Why the restaurant is the coolest? It is because all of their ingredients (meat, vegetables, etc.) in creating delicious food are home grown/organic... what ever you called that result to healthy yummy food. And what's more? Its AFFORDABLE!!
The restaurant (1st floor) and bar (ground floor) serves lunch and dinner... oh if you're a late bloomer (I mean you wake up as early as 12 noon) they offer BRUNCH set. And the good thing for all budget food seekers out there, the restaurant have no service charge policy... means it's up to the customer. Well who could not resist to give tips if the restaurant have cute staff right? LOLz!
Our dinner started with a complimentary bread...
Straccetti Di Manzo HK$98 = raw beef, artichokes, gorgonzola dolce, anchovy
We chose this as our antipasti (appetizer), the dish wasn't just lovely as it looks but the taste was amazing. The beef was so tender, you wouldn't expect the beef was raw.
It followed with a PIZZA
Picante HK$128 = homemade spicy pork sausage, mozarella, tomato, chili
I'm not a spicy food fanatic but who can't resist a deliciously looking pizza in front of us? Why you should try it? Well the crust! .... ZOMG!!
Spaghetti Carbonara HK$98 = homemade spaghetti, pancetta, natural egg, Parmigiano Reggiano
My cousin like this very much!
On Top of Spaghetti HK$128 = homemade meatballs, cheese
The meatballs was so good... and the sauce... heaven
I think this is a Lamb Gnocchi HK$118 (sorry I forgot because I was distracted by our CUTE server.. LOL), though I still like the On Top of Spaghetti compared with this.
Salt Cured Egg HK$88 = Chinese salt cured egg + Genovese pesto sauce
This dish is the stellar among the pasta I tasted that night. The pasta was cooked well and the pesto sauce was oh so good.
The place was full, good thing I reserved a week before, as they now accepting reservation in their 1F.
We ended with their Hot Chocolate Affogato
Hot Chocolate Affogato HK$48 = Dark Chocolate + Graham Cracker Biscotti + Marshmallow Gelato
Coolest toilet wall ever! |
Looking forward to eat here again on my next visit to Hong Kong next week! UBER YAY!
