In Philippines, Starbucks is the leading coffee shop chain... while in Hong Kong...don't know whose the reigning but the busy city have dozens of worth to try coffee shop to ease the hangover from last night soiree or you're just a morning coffee person.
I tried four of them while I'm in Hong Kong on my last two trips.
Caffè HABITŪ -- cozy and good ambiance. I like the Wan Chai space... but my Hong Kong based friend and I tried the Leighton Road branch in Causeway Bay near Times Square.
The coffee shop is sharing the ground floor space with G.O.D. (Goods of Desire). This lovely cafe serves pasta, salad, sandwiches, and pastry besides coffee.
Since my friend and I were still full after a delightful lunch in Saboten, we just tried their Cappuccino Brûlée.
Each order of their coffee comes with a complimentary bite size brownie, a HK$40 cappuccino is worth a try.
They have nice menu and guess where they put your bill?

Agnés b. Cafe LPG -- this is the winner if dramatic + romantic ambiance you're looking for... Dramatic window display + nice staff + French-esque vibes in the street where you can find great fashion stores and restaurants, Gough Street... in Sheung Wan.
Once you're in the corner of Wellington St. and Aberdeen St. take the hill side up of Aberdeen and the first street or second in the right side is the Gough street.

I'm already full... after a brunch in Linguini Fini and ate two cupcakes from Kisses, so I just sip a cup of Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow.
I really want to try their pasta...next visit I guess...
Starbucks -- I know I don't need introduction for this big coffee shop franchise... Well if Caffè HABITŪ, Agnes b., or Library Café is already close... Starbucks is your choice.
We ate our take away cupcakes from Library Café here while sipping Latte.
The Library Café by Lane Crawford -- if you want a chic + cool place to chill after a stressful shopping along Canton Road... head to this cafe. What more you could ask for?... Gorgeous lighting + fabulous tables + cool staff + yummy red velvet cupcake.
Located inside Lane Crawford along Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, this coffee shop offers not just marvelous coffee but pastries and salads you wouldn't want to miss.
