The four accused and others at large, on June 29, 2012, about 1.30 pm, allegedly conspired to steal some Nigeria Telecommunications cables, thereby committing felony.
The accused, at the same time, allegedly damaged some properties owned by NITEL.
The accused, who were arraigned before Magistrate Taiwo Akanni, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
The case was adjourned till Aug. 29.
Similarly, 50-year-old Olamiji Bello, on Tuesday, was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for threat to life and unlawful damage of property.
The accused, on May 27, 2012, unlawfully caused damage to an uncompleted 12-room building, owned by one Adeola Akinyemi, on Ebute Road.
The building allegedly damaged by Olamiji was worth N15m.
Olamiji, who is facing three counts, was said to have violently threatened the life of Akinyemi.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges levelled against him.
The magistrate, Mr. A.O. Isaac, stated that the defendant must pay the sum of N500,000 and present two sureties as his bail conditions.
The case was adjourned till Aug. 15.
