Australia’s Michelle Jenneke Does Sexy Pre-Race Routine, Internet Goes Crazy (Video & Gif)

michelle jenneke danceJust 48 hours ago, nobody outside a few friends and her immediately family knew who Michelle Jenneke was. Today? Millions of people know her name. And all it took was a 5 second dance.
Man, the internet is awesome.
You see, Ms. Jenneke is a 19-year-old track and field athlete from Australia. Over the weekend she competed in the 100 meter hurdles at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona, and prior to the preliminary heat, she showed the world her rather sensual warm-up routine.
Check it out:

Unique, right?
Well, you know how the internet loves cute girls doing sexy things in skimpy outfits. So when the video of this little pre-race ritual went on YouTube, it went viral in about 10 seconds and she became the most famous track star since Allison Stokke.
Now there’s even a Michelle Jenneke pre-race warmup remix:

As you can see, Jenneke’s sexy warmup routine worked very well, as she blew away the competition in her heat. Unfortunately, it didn’t do much for her in the 100 meter finals, as she finished a disappointing 5th.
Now I know what you’re thinking, and no, she won’t be at the 2012 Summer Olympics. But she’s only 19, so who knows—maybe Rio 2016?

Holy Wet Bikini Batmobile Car Wash, Batman!

The minds behind the web series Super Power Beat Down know their audience. Geeks love their comics, fast cars, lively debate and, oh yeah, chicks in bikinis. So why not give them a chick in a bikini washing a fast comic book car after a lively debate.
“Because you fans demanded it!” reads the video description to an extended version of a bit that concluded the first episode of Super Power Beat Down.  The original webisode pinned the Batmobile from the 1966 film (featuring the stars from the ’60s television series) against the version of the car used in the 1989 film directed by Tim Burton.  Hot, young host Marisha Ray moderated the debate between two comics experts Damian Beurer and Andy Liegl and sided with the ’89. Beurer wagered he would win in the ’66 and if he did, she would have to wash the machine down in a bikini. He (and we) won.
SPDB, the monthly series, has previously pitted Star Wars bad-ass Darth Vader vs. Lord of the Rings legend Gandalf.  For Episode 3, the site polls visitors on who would win in a battle between the Dark Knight himself, Batman, and X-Men mutant member Wolverine.
Without further blah-blah, here’s Marisha soaking down the old school Batmobile and herself in the process:

The Most Interesting Music Records [Top 10]

The Longest Song On The World

You may have heard of long songs, but did you here for a song that will be played continuously for 1,000 years?! Longplayer is a track designed to last a thousand years. In particular,it began to play the January 1, 2000 and, if everything goes in smoothly, it will continue without repetition until December 31, 2999, when it is restarted. The song is based on an existing piece of music, particularly in a traditional Tibetan song that is being played with cymbals, which resembles very much a synthesis of bell sounds. This lasts 20 minutes and 20 seconds, time which is processed by computer using a simple algorithm. This has the effect of creating a large number of variants, which, when played in succession, give a total execution time 1000 years old! Check it out…

World’s Fastest Rapper

Rebel XD, the Chicago native most noted for obtaining two Guinness world records for the fastest rap MC. Guinness Records -1993: 673 syllables in 54.9 secs , 1998: 684 syllables in 54.5 secs, 2008: amazing 852 syllables in 42.2 secs!!! You’ll have to hear this to believe…

Lowest Note Ever Sung

Roger Menees has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for singing the lowest note ever recorded. The gospel singer and tour bus driver from southern Illinois reached a croaking f-sharp in Carbondale, Illinois. He always thought his bass voice was lower than all the others, now he has the certificate from Guinness to prove it. Menees was dead on right when he said the note wasn’t going to be very pretty. His goal he explained was to vibrate his vocal cords at the slowest possible speed. By measurement, his vocal cords vibrated at about 3 vibrations per second on this video:

Highest Note Ever Sung

Vocal range is the measure of the breadth of pitches that a human voice can phonate. Adam Lopez Costa is a pop musician, vocal coach, and session vocalist. He is noted for his ability to produce extremely high notes in his whistle register and for his extensive vocal range. He is currently a Guinness World Record holder for singing the highest note by a male – a half step above the C in the 8th octave (C♯8), or a half-step above the highest note on a standard 88-key piano. Don’t believe it? Check out:

World Record For Longest Continuous Vocal Note

The Guinness World Record for longest continuous vocal note (previously 57sec) was shattered on September 8th 2009 by Richard Fink IV (USA) at GFI Studios in Webster NY, with an official time of astonishing 1 minute and 43 seconds following GWR’s strict guidelines. When you hear this you’ll have to agree that this guy is awesome!

The Biggest Crowd In The World

A New Years celebration featuring Rod Stewart with the largest concert crowd ever. The wonderful Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil was overcrowed with singing and celebrating audience. There were unbelievably 3.5 million people at this New Year’s Eve concert!

Best Selling Single of All Time

The version sung by Bing Crosby is the best-selling single of all time, with estimated sales in excess of 50 million copies worldwide. Believe it or not that single is statistically above Elton John with single “Candle in the Wind 1997″/”Something About the Way You Look Tonight” (33 million copies) and his single “Silent Night” (1935) is holding third place with 30 million copies worldwide!

World Record Guitar Speed

Tiago della Vega is a Brazilian guitarist. Born in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, he began learning to play the acoustic guitar at the age of five. After a year, he realized that the electric guitar was his greatest passion. He started to study electric guitar, practicing 16 hours a day! We guess that’s why on October 16, 2011 in Cannes Festival Della Vega attempted to beat the 600 bpm record of John Taylor by kicking it up to 750 bpm. Some on Youtube have said that he has submitted it to the Guinness Book of World Records. It has yet to be approved by Guinness…

The Loudest Band Ever

On July 15, 2009, in Ottawa, Canada, the band KISS achieved a SPL of 136 dB measured during their live performance. After noise complaints from neighbors in the area, the band was forced to turn the volume down. It’s interesting that before them, Manowar achieved a SPL of 139 dB during the sound check at the Magic Circle Fest in 2008 but that was not the actual performance so that doesn’t count…

The Weirdest Song?!

This is definitely very subjective question, but if we organize competition for the weirdest song (and video) this would be one of the favorites for the golden medal. Check it out and send us your suggestions (if you have “better” one). Ladies and gentlemen please be prepared for Diamanda Galás song:

Awesome Dance Moves You Wish You Could Pull Off

One of the best things to do when you're playing the new online game, “Dancing With The Stars: Keep Dancing,” is to include famous dance moves into your avatar's routine. It's a great way to pay homage to legendary movies or performers, and inject a little humor into your choreography! Check out some of the most renowned steps from films and the signature moves of the most talented entertainers, and don't forget to play the online game, Dancing With The Stars: Keep Dancing, before you decide to try any of the movements outside of your private living room.

1. Uma Thurman's Twist In "Pulp Fiction"

Want to be sexy? Just obstruct your vision with a peace sign.

2. M.C. Hammer's Crab Walk

MC Hammer is a 90s icon. And as long as he remains one, the Crab Walk will continue to be a valuable piece of the dancing puzzle.

3. The Lift In "Dirty Dancing"

Lifts have always been amazing, and will always be amazing. They have no expiration date, and will probably outlive all of us. Do them whenever possible.

4. Madonna's Facial Framing In "Vogue"

It's a good idea for a dancer to frame their face with their hands if their partner's eyes start to wander. We all need a reminder of where we're supposed to be looking every now and then.

5. Carlton's "Tom Jones" Sway

Carlton's sway is a great addition to any routine that's performed to uptempo music. But be careful because it's also known as the best non-verbal way to convey to your partner that you've completely forgotten what you're supposed to be doing.

6. Elvis' Hips In "Jailhouse Rock"

Think that girl should be talking to you instead of that other guy? Swivel your hips a bit and she'll reach the same conclusion pretty quickly.

7. Gene Kelly's Umbrella Tricks In "Singin' In The Rain"

Using props during a routine is a great way to challenge your skills and catch the judge's eye. They also might come in handy when you're leaving the studio or ballroom (you never know!).

8. Beyoncé's Strut In "Single Ladies"

Beyoncés strut in this video rattled the skeletons of all mankind. She also made stomping to the music okay again, which really is a beautiful thing.

9. Tom Cruise's Slide In "Risky Business"

Who likes walking on stage, striking a pose and just waiting for the music to start? That's lame. We should all stop doing it. Let's make a pact to make our best entrances!

10. The Village People's YMCA

Don't feel like taking the earmuffs on your head just so you can know where your friends are going? You're in luck because there's another way for for them to tell you where to go.

11. The Rockettes' Kick Line

Doing a series of high kicks is the best way for a dancer to show off his or her flexibility, while also encouraging all the grabby creepers out there to keep moving.

12. Mick Jagger's Rooster Strut

Sometimes dancers can even look stiff in the less formal routines. And it's then that they should slide a ramp up to that chicken coop and let the rooster out.

13. John Travolta's Disco In "Saturday Night Fever"

There are at least a dozen moves in Travolta's routine here that are phenomenal. And whenever you're ready to spice things up, take the ocean wave arms or the crowd surveillance arm extension and make the Viennese Waltz even more romantic.

14. Michael Jackson's Moonwalk

Obviously, you can't just whip out the Moonwalk whenever you like. It is for emergencies only. It is a tool that can help you, but hurt you even more if you don't do it right — just like a chainsaw.

New 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Trailer: Joes Betrayed, Bruce Willis Orders Some Thin Mints

gi-joe-retaliation-trailer-2.jpg
This latest trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation wastes little time in explaining why Joe star Channing Tatum was so absent from the last trailer for the film. As the preview--and presumably the actual film--opens, the entire G.I. Joe action figure line is attacked by the U.S.'s own forces, taking out the majority of the team, Tatum included. More likely it will turn out Tatum is alive in the hospital or something, leaving the team in the hands of a new leader for but one movie, because that formula worked well enough for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. But as far as why The Rock is now seemingly leader of a Wayans-free Joe team, that's why.

As for why the Joes were attacked, it's because Cobra has wrested control of the White House, and not even in the polite way lobbyists do it. Thanks to the shape-shifting powers of Arnold Vosloo, Cobra has literally taken over the presidency, placing themselves in power and turning the surviving G.I. Joe figures into criminals. Finding it tough to hide out when half their team is composed of an enormous, shorn man and the personification of a black dildo, the Joes turn to the only man they can trust: G.I. Joe himself, Bruce Willis, who seems to have contributed a few wisecracks on the condition that he be allowed to shoot them all in sequence in front of a green screen. Willis grants the Joes use of that super awesome tank vehicle your parents refused to buy you because they already bought you the Turtle Blimp for your birthday, and, well, now The Rock has one less pithy quip he can use in Fast Six:

Now, I'm fuzzy on some of my G.I. Joe canon, but did Firefly always take his name to such a literal extreme, or is this something new since the advent of Michael Bay's invention of little CGI robot bugs?
Also, if it turns out Tatum just got his head clonked and now he's working for Cobra because of brain damage, eff off, because that's just The Vow again but with the roles switched and with larger political implications.

'Avengers' Also Comes with 'Spider-Man' Trailer, Midnight IMAX Poster

amazing-spider-man-007.jpg
Oh my, what a nerdy little orgy of superheroism The Avengers will be. As we learned earlier this week, the ensemble superhero film is coming with a brand new Dark Knight Rises trailer attached, as Warner Bros. is counting on the fact that if you like The Avengers, you probably also like Batman, because you do. They were right. But Batman won't be the only comic book hero using the Marvel film as an "in" to the excitable fanboy brain. The Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb has revealed, his film, too, will hitch a new trailer to The Avengers' wave of exploding cars. WE ARE GOING TO BE SO OVERSTIMULATED. Mother will definitely need to mop our collective sweaty brow with a damp cloth.

Thankfully, if you see Avengers at midnight in an IMAX location, you'll get the below poster to gnaw on during the fit of overstimulation.

'The Avengers' 1978 TV Movie That Never Was Is Here

avengers-78.jpg
Since we've already seen what The Avengers would look like if it were made in 1952, here's what it would look like as a hypothetical 1978 TV movie. If you're anything like me, your first thought about this will be, "Well, clearly Paul Lynde is involved in some capacity, right?" Don't worry: yes, Paul Lynde is Loki (somebody had to be), and in a reunion of his nightmarish Halloween special from two years prior, he is again working alongside KISS.

That is great. And even better that it doesn't spoil Tim Conway's surprise appearance as Ultron.
